Arizona WingNutz

Welcome to the home of the Arizona WingNutz!

We are an AMA chartered club located in the East Valley of the Phoenix metro area. Our charter was first granted on May 8, 2006, and our AMA club number is 4702. We are classified as an "electric only" club, allowing both planes and helicopters.

As of this writing, the Arizona WingNutz consists mainly of dedicated e-flyers residing in Mesa and Gilbert. We are in the process of finding a dedicated field location.

Since we do not currently have a permanent home, anyone (club member or not) is welcome to come fly with us as all sites are located on public use land. We ask only that you follow the basic safety guidelines when operating your aircraft.

If you are new to the RC flying experience, flight instruction is available. Many of our members have years of experience flying model airplanes, and are more than happy to pass along their wisdom. It is helpful if your radio transmitter is capable of connecting to another transmitter in the "buddy box" configuration, but it is not required at this time.
